I'm almost always up at nights since I mostly sleep on daytime. I curate the obscure, surrealism in any form, paint, violence and erotica. surrealism: Sunday Dalí: Sentimental Colloquy, 1948. Oil on canvas. 10 ¼ x 18 ½ inches. Salvador Dalí Museum, St. Petersburg, Florida. I saw this piece this weekend. It was surprisingly small. In fact, most of the pieces I love were so skewed in scale in my head. This one is sometimes called a “study”, which is a word that diminishes its seriousness. It’s not a study at all. It’s a complete concept en route to a larger work (which was never performed.) Actually no. I’m retracting the previous post and re-posting it tomorrow. It’s unfair to the artist to do otherwise. ↩

I saw this piece this weekend. It was surprisingly small. In fact, most of the pieces I love were so skewed in scale in my head.
